Licorice or glycyrrhiza glabra is a perennial herb indigenous to Greece, Italy, Spain, Syria, Iraq and southern China. The root penetrates deeply into the ground and is the part of the herb that contains an abundance of valuable properties. The root yields a substance known as glycyrrhizin or glycyrrhizic acid which is 50 times as sweet as sugar cane.







Licorice tea benefits have been well-known to the people of the Mediterranean and Asia since ancient times but are only now slowly inching their way into the mainstream’s consciousness.


Licorice tea is used medicinally. Though the health benefits have yet to be scientifically-verified, there is widespread proof that licorice tea is indeed a beneficial beverage.


Among the widely-observed licorice tea benefits are the following:

Licorice tea speeds healing of stomach ulcers;

Licorice tea aids in soothing viral liver inflammations;

Licorice tea fights boils;

Licorice tea combats diarrhea;

Licorice tea is good for treating headaches;

Licorice tea overcomes excessive thirst;

Licorice tea treats sore throat


Furthermore, there is some evidence that licorice tea may help the body fight viruses by encouraging the production of interferon.











To drink Licorice Tea:


Step 1: Prepare 3-4pieces (about 5g) dry Licorice root stalk slices.

Step 2: Pour boiling hot water over and wash it for about 10 seconds.

Step 3: Place the clean Licorice root stalk slices into a teapot with cold water.

Step 4: Brew it for about 15 minutes.

Step 5: Strain and enjoy!




Sweet with natural herbal fragrance. It could be used as the sweetener for other herbals.





Once a bag of herbals or flowers is opened, The herbals could be kept in ambient and dry conditions such as in the living room, the study or the office, but it must be completely away from light, moisture, smell and heat.


An airtight container or a vacuum tank is an ideal storage solution.

The quality of the herbals lasts longer if they are kept in the fridge. But please make sure the package is sealed and cover with a box to insulate from temperature change.


In addition, if the bag is taken in and out from the fridge very often, this will cause heat stress to the herbals as temperature is increased and decreased very frequently. Air will be drawn from outside and condensation will occur.



That is why we packed our herbals into small sealed packaging bags instead of large bags or boxes. You could open a small bag of the herbal and enjoy its freshness while the other bags are sealed and well kept in the fridge.





Many alternative medicine health care providers feel that using certain herbal teas during pregnancy is a great way to support optimal pregnancy health. Herbal teas can often provide an additional source of nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, and iron.


However, due to the lack of studies on most herbs, the FDA encourages caution when consuming herbal teas during pregnancy.
